Downeast 37 — Three weeks and counting!

The Downeast 37 continues to move forward. The image on your left shows the deck and windshield installed!

All Back Cove Yachts have a traditional spoon bow with gently sloped transom. Even in the shop, this “look” is evident.

In just a few short weeks, this cockpit is going to look VERY different. As you can see in the image to your left, one can access the lazarette and engine room from the cockpit of the Downeast 37. The lazarette gives the owner access to the fuel tank and generator. The main cockpit hatch provides access to the engine, water and waste tanks and most mechanical systems.

The new SureShade extending cockpit awning was installed this week! This is the first SureShade installed in the shop – this will be standard equipment on the Downeast 37! Learn more the SureShade System in last week’s BLOG post

After the SureShade was installed in the hardtop, the team raised it with an electric chainfall and then a large group of associates help fit this key component in place.

It’s a perfect fit! Afterward the hardtop was permanently attached using structural adhesives.
