Q. Where can I purchase a Back Cove Yacht?

A. Back Cove Yachts has dealerships throughout the USA, Canada and Europe as well as in Australia. You can find their addresses and phone numbers by using our dealer locator tool. If there is no dealer in your region please contact us and we will direct you to the one closest to you.

Q. Where can I see a Back Cove yacht?

A. Back Coves are available for viewing at our dealerships and we exhibit our boats at boat shows around the world. You can find out which shows we are going to attend and which boats are to be displayed at shows by looking in our Boat Show Calendar section.

Q. Can I visit the Back Cove yard to see how Back Coves are built?

A. Yes. Back Cove welcomes visitors to the Rockland yard weekdays, by appointment, between 8:00AM and 3:00PM. Just contact us to set up an appointment.

Q. How many employees work at Back Cove Yachts?

A. Currently 100 associates work building boats in our yard in Rockland, Maine.

Q. How long has Back Cove Yachts been in business?

A. Back Cove’s first model, the Back Cove 29 was introduced in 2003, however parent company Sabre Yachts has been building Sabre sailing yachts since 1970 and Sabre motor yachts since 1989, in the Sabre yard in South Casco, Maine, USA.

Design/Construction

Q. Who designs Back Cove’s yachts?

A. Our Back Cove motor yachts are designed in house by the Kevin Burns and the Back Cove Design Team.

Q. What method does Back Cove utilize in the fabrication of its fiberglass parts?

A. The building technique used in Back Cove fiberglass parts is called VIP Resin Infusion Process. This process uses the latest technology to infuse fiberglass resin into a dry stack of fiberglass under vacuum pressure. The process provides the best possible resin to glass ratios and the strongest, lightest parts available. You can view video of this process on our Youtube channel. 

Q. What hull colors are available for Back Cove boats?

A. Back Cove offers a variety of colors for you to choose from. In the Options section of each model you can view examples of each color.

Used Back Cove Information and Brochures

Q. Does Back Cove provide info on used Back Coves for sale?

A. No. Back Cove does not track the used market but recommends that you visit a local Back Cove dealer to find used Back Coves for sale. Our dealers use the Yachtworld Multiple Listing Service and can find all available listings available for you in the used market. When we receive a call from someone wishing to list their boat or someone looking to acquire a specific model, we refer them to their nearest Back Cove dealer.

Q. How can I get a brochure for a current Back Cove model?

A. Brochures for each current Back Cove model are available for download online in sections devoted to each yacht and you can use the contact form to ask us for hard copies which we would be pleased to send to you.
