“41 Door Systems”

We have been getting many questions about the door systems on the 41. The standard aft door (or Alaskan bulkhead as it is known in some parts of the country) is a stainless steel bi-fold salon door system which includes an electric drop-down window on the starboard side. The Back Cove 41 will also have a helm/side deck door. This is a two part “dutch” door with the top integrated as part of the window system and the bottom half a fiberglass component similar to our transom door.

As for the interior doors, the master cabin, will have an entry door that swings into the master stateroom. This door will pin against the fore and aft bulkhead. The master head door will swing into the head hinging on the forward side. The master cabin shower door swings aft into the shower. Entry into the guest stateroom is through a pocket door which opens alongside the companionway and the guest head door opens aft into the guest stateroom. The drawing below highlights these plans.
