Lynn & Lori , Why we opted for the Back Cove 41

We had recently sold our 25 foot Grady White. We were invited by some friends to cruise the San Juan islands of the Pacific Northwest. Spending  several days with them on their 41 foot sail foot was great. During that time we had begun looking at several different boat styles all of which were power boats. We came across the Back Cove 37 and opted to charter for one week. During that charter we began getting compliments about the look and wonderful design of the Back Cove 37. Sadly enough we had to say it wasn’t ours and that we had chartered for only one week. The short time we had spent on the Back Cove 37 told us that this was the boat we should seriously consider for our next boat purchase.

In September of 2013 at the Seattle boat show we were introduced to the newly designed Back Cove 41. With only a rendering of the BC41 and spending time with the Back Cove Dealer from Bellingham, Wa., he told us hull#4 would be available May of 2014, that’s when the research began. We began looking at the pros and cons of the design 41, the straight lines, the smooth ride (we were able to sea trial in Miami), the ability for long range cruises, enough power and speed to keep us of trouble in the straight and narrows of tidal changes in the Pacific Northwest. The down east design will be our perfect fit for cruising the Pacific Northwest, Canada, and Alaska. We loved the layout of the galley and the salon located where the chef is not isolated down below from the view, from our conversation, or from our guests. The master stateroom and private guest cabin each with their own private head and shower was a must for us to cruise with friends or family.  We love that both of us, Captain and Admiral, can sit next to each other in the two helm chairs, something few other boats of this size have to offer. We are looking forward to the Dutch door in the helm for added air flow and additional ease of docking. Engine room access for daily maintenance checks, plenty of storage, thrusters, roomy cockpit and 50 amp power.

Best Regards,

Lynn and Lori
